Heatmap

Use Framegain’s heatmap to see content density without treating any tile as measured performance cost.

The heatmap is a spatial presentation of content density in the selected scope. It helps you see where project content is concentrated.

#What the heatmap shows

It visualises how project content is distributed across the selected scope. A denser tile means more relevant content is present there.

#What it does not show

The heatmap has no measurement layer. It does not show an estimated or measured performance cost per tile, and it does not claim that a coloured area equals frame-time cost while the game is running.

Important

Do not read heatmap intensity as a runtime capture. Use the PIE benchmark or a profiler when the question is actual frame time.
