The ignore list
Keep intentional exceptions out of a scan without hiding the scope or changing the project.
Use the ignore list for known, intentional exceptions that would otherwise distract from the work you are doing.
#Make exclusions explicit
An exclusion should name a path or asset pattern and have a reason that another person can understand. Keep the list small and review it when the project changes.
#What an exclusion means
An ignored path is outside the current scan result. It is not evidence that the ignored asset is within budget.
Important
An ignore list can hide a real issue from the ledger. Use it to document a deliberate boundary, not as a way to silence a result you have not investigated.
