Target presets
Choose the target platform that Framegain should use when weighing estimated performance cost.
A target preset gives the scan a reference point. The same asset can be acceptable for one shipping target and a candidate for another.
#Choose the shipping target
Pick the preset that matches the platform you are actually trying to ship. Do not choose a faster target just to make a finding disappear.
#Read the result in context
The cost in a finding is an estimate relative to the target and scope selected for the scan. Record those choices when sharing a report.
Important
Target presets do not replace a real hardware test. Use the PIE benchmark and your normal profiling tools to validate a release decision.
