Scope and path patterns
Narrow a Framegain scan to the project, a level, or a path pattern without changing the project.
Start broad when you are learning a project, then narrow the scope when you are following one finding or one level.
#Whole project
A whole-project scan gives the broadest inventory of the supported asset and setting facts. It is the useful baseline before you investigate a specific area.
#A smaller scope
Select a level or path pattern when the question is local. The scan remains read-only; narrowing the scope changes what is inspected, not the project on disk.
#Path patterns
Use the path syntax shown by the Framegain scope control. Keep patterns explicit enough that the resulting ledger can be explained to another person.
A clean narrow scan only describes the selected scope. It does not clear findings in assets or levels outside that scope.
