Getting started

Reading an issue

Understand the category, asset, cost, and evidence behind each Framegain finding.

Every ledger row points to a specific candidate rather than presenting a single opaque score.

#Category

The category identifies which of the eight checks produced the finding. The current public documentation does not expose the check names as a stable API, so treat the category shown in the product as the source of truth.

#Asset or setting

The row names the asset or project setting that the scan can take you back to in the Content Browser or project configuration.

#Estimated cost

The scan reports an estimated cost in milliseconds or megabytes when it can derive one from project data. It is an estimate from asset properties and placement counts, not a frame-time measurement.

#Estimate versus benchmark

The Pro benchmark runs in PIE and measures the selected runtime scenario before and after a change. When the estimate and the measured result disagree, trust the measurement for that scenario.

#Severity

Severity communicates how far a finding is beyond the selected target threshold. Green is reserved for Framegain’s brand and a confirmed improvement; an in-budget value is not presented as a green performance score.
